About the Role:
As a Design Manager, you will lead our dynamic Design team, serving as a catalyst for creativity and an inspirational figure. Your role will involve guiding, nurturing growth, and fostering collaboration among teams distributed globally to tackle complex challenges and enhance the experience. Your primary objective is to develop a widely cherished product that resonates with outstanding user feedback from diverse regions across the globe.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Oversight: Lead the entire design process to ensure a unique blend of user-centered, visually appealing, and functional designs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product and engineering leaders to align design efforts seamlessly with the mission and timelines.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data and user insights to guide design choices that contribute to success.
- Design Leadership: Inspire the team and foster a creative environment.
- User-Centered Focus: Balance aesthetics, creativity, and usability to enhance the user experience.
- Strategic Influence: Evaluate and shape feature experiences to stand out in the ed-tech industry globally.
Requirements
- Bring over 7 years of experience creating visuals for progressive product companies, specialising in product design.
- Leadership: Show a proven track record as a highly effective team leader, blending hands-on work with success in fast-paced environments.
- Design Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of design basics like typography, color theory, layout, and composition through a portfolio with detailed case studies.
- Problem Solver: Excel at creatively solving problems and turning complex business ideas into clear visuals.
- Innovation: Stay updated on tech trends to bring fresh design ideas to product development.
